👉 🎓 See how to do it step by step
Managing the information required for production in plants can be a challenge. Pulsar will help make this task easier. With our tools, you’ll be able to configure all the necessary information: SKUs, quality reasons, nominal speed, and register operators.
It will only take you a few minutes!
To upload this information, go to the Settings / Production menu. In this section, you can either create each item individually by clicking the Add button or upload data in bulk using the Bulk Upload button.
Individual Upload
SKU
In this section, you can add the SKUs (or part numbers) that will be produced in the plant.
Enter the SKU name (Example: 0014569-3)
Enter the description (Example: 10-liter white box)
Enter the unit of measurement for that SKU (Example: Box)
Click Next to proceed
Select the machines that produce this SKU and click Save
Defect Quality
In this section, you can upload a catalog of "Defects," so that the operator can select the reason a SKU was rejected. You can add them by clicking Add.
Enter the name of the defect you want to register
Click Save
Note: This field is optional
Machine <> SKU (Nominal Speed P/H)
Nominal speed (Column C) refers to the "MACHINE - SKU - SPEED" relationship — that is, the number of SKUs (based on the specified unit) that can be produced in one hour by a machine running at normal speed without interruptions.
Example: "Machine 1" produces 10 units if it runs for a full hour at normal speed with no interruptions.
Select the machine for which you’ll add information
Enter the related SKU
Enter the nominal speed of the machine for that SKU
Counting Factor: Leave as 1 if there's no need to multiply the quantities recorded by Pulsar
Click Save to store the information
Operator
You can upload your list of operators in this section.
Enter the operator’s first name
Enter the operator’s last name
Note: If the operator needs to see their employee number or ID, we recommend using the "First Name" field for that. Example: 00001 - John .
Production Forms
You can define the fields that appear in the production table and, therefore, in the data entry forms on the tablet or PC. You can even select different fields for tablet and desktop (e.g., hide Nominal Speed on the tablet to prevent operators from modifying speed and performance % calculations, but keep it visible on Desktop/PC since supervisors handle or check that information).
Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) will support you and can suggest the best options for your operations and goals.
Bulk Upload
To bulk upload any item, go to the corresponding tab for the data you want to upload and click the Bulk Upload button.
Go to the Upload Data section and click on "Sample File"
Edit the sample file by adding the required data
Save the file, making sure to keep the .csv format
Drag the file from your desktop and drop it, or select it from your folders
Note: If there is an error, Pulsar will indicate the specific line in the file where the issue occurs.
The sample file is your guide for importing data in bulk into Pulsar. It includes the necessary fields (columns) for a successful upload. We recommend downloading it the first time you need to upload data into the platform and reusing it whenever you need to add new information.
Once you’ve downloaded the sample file, enter the information according to the characteristics shown in row 1.
Important: You must use the file while keeping row 1 exactly as in the sample (do not modify or delete it).
